1. Service description and independence

Driving Test Cancellations IE (“the Service”) is an informational notification service that monitors publicly available driving test slot data. We collect only the information needed to send you notifications about potentially available driving test slots. The Service is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the RSA.

2. Information we collect

• Email address — for account access and receiving notifications where applicable.
• Chosen test centres — to know which centres to alert you about.
• Device push token — to deliver instant push notifications on iOS and Android.
• Basic diagnostics — anonymised app usage/crash information for reliability.
• Optional website analytics — with your consent, page views, selected counties and test centres, cancellation filters and app-store link interactions.

3. How we use your information

Solely to operate the Service: monitor selected centres, send notifications, and improve reliability. We do not sell your data.

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

We process personal data under contract (to provide the Service you've asked for) and legitimate interest (to keep the Service secure and reliable). Marketing communications, website analytics and marketing communications, where applicable, are consent-based and can be declined or withdrawn.

5. Retention

We keep your data only for as long as you use the Service. You can request deletion at any time via support@drivealertsireland.com.

6. Third parties

We use trusted infrastructure providers (hosting, push notification services, error monitoring, Google Analytics and app-store services) to run the Service. These providers may process data on our behalf. Current platform-specific collection and tracking disclosures are shown on the App Store and Google Play product pages before download.

7. Website analytics and consent

Google Analytics is disabled until you explicitly allow analytics. If accepted, it helps us understand aggregate website usage such as popular pages, counties, test centres, filters and app-download links. We do not include names, email addresses, account data or raw search text in analytics events. Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation remain disabled. Your choice is saved in your browser and can be changed at any time through “Analytics preferences” in the footer.

8. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and portability of your data. Contact us at support@drivealertsireland.com to exercise any right.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

10. Completing a booking

All test bookings are completed through MyRoadSafety. The public slot feed does not use personal RSA account data, and the Service does not collect your booking credentials or complete bookings on your behalf.
